Cuquita, The Cuban Doll, holds still and uncomfortable body positions, embracing both pain and relief in her search for healing through meditation. Set against the backdrop of the sea, Romagoza invites audiences to contemplate the struggles and traumas experienced by diasporic female bodies. This project forms part of the Siren Art Residency.
