Golden Dreams in Black and White, 2012. Performative Runway, Clothing Collection, 15min

Deepening the concept of "Normal Is Good," the performers revealed photo cameras hidden within the garments’ concealed pockets, bringing a layer of interaction and commentary to the art-oriented runway. These cameras were functional and symbolic, challenging traditional notions of passivity in fashion and performance. The performers broke the fourth wall by taking photos of the audience and engaging with them directly, transforming the runway into a participatory experience rather than a one-way spectacle. Capturing the audience through the lens served multiple purposes: it reversed the gaze, highlighting themes of surveillance, visibility, and power dynamics while reinforcing the idea of self-expression and agency embedded within the designs. The hidden pockets, initially a practical feature, became a metaphor for the hidden potential of individual autonomy and creativity, encouraging a reexamination of our interactions with objects, spaces, and others in everyday life and artistic contexts. This interplay of fashion, performance, and audience engagement created a dynamic environment that blurred the boundaries between artist and observer, emphasizing the multidisciplinary essence of the project.
